Overview
On The Ghost Production, every track is categorized as Vocal Tracks vs Instrumental Tracks.
Understanding the difference helps you choose the right type for your project — whether you’re looking for a complete vocal song or a flexible instrumental ready for your own topline.
This article explains what each type includes, how AI vocals are handled, and what rights you receive after purchasing.
1. What Is a Vocal Track?
A Vocal Track features professionally recorded vocals — either full lyrics or melodic vocal chops — that complement the production.
Vocal tracks may include:
- Royalty-free vocals from licensed sample packs (cleared for commercial use), or
- Exclusive vocals recorded exclusively for that track, available nowhere else.
Each vocal track package includes:
- Full version (with vocals) – Mastered and unmastered WAV + MP3
- Instrumental version (without vocals) – Also mastered and unmastered
- Stems – Including separate vocal stems for full control
- MIDI files – For melody and chord editing
- Project file (if included)
All vocals are cleared for commercial release, and once purchased, you own the track and may release it under your own artist name.
2. AI Vocals on The Ghost Production
AI-generated instrumentals are strictly prohibited on The Ghost Production.
However, AI-generated vocals may be used only under the following conditions:
- The track is clearly labeled as containing AI Vocals on its product page.
- The AI vocals are royalty-free, commercially cleared, and do not imitate any real artist’s voice.
- The buyer receives full commercial and exclusive rights to the track, just like with human-recorded vocals.
This policy ensures transparency while maintaining the same exclusivity and legal protection for every buyer.
3. What Is an Instrumental Track?
An Instrumental Track contains no vocals or vocal samples.
It’s ideal for:
- DJs who want clean instrumental productions for sets or mixes.
- Vocalists who want to add their own topline or lyrics.
- Labels looking for ready-to-release instrumentals or sync music.
Each instrumental package includes:
- Mastered and unmastered versions (WAV + MP3)
- Stems and MIDI files
- Project file (if included)
Instrumental tracks are 100% exclusive, sold once, and fully owned by the buyer after purchase.
4. Which Type Should You Choose?
Choose a Vocal Track if:
- You want a complete, release-ready song.
- You prefer not to record your own vocals.
- You plan to release immediately on Spotify, Beatport, or Apple Music.
Choose an Instrumental Track if:
- You want to record your own vocals or collaborate with a singer.
- You’re looking for a club-ready instrumental.
- You want more flexibility to remix or rearrange the production.
Both types are sold only once and come with full rights transfer and NDA protection.
