About result accuracy: The AI probability score reflects confidence based on acoustic fingerprinting and pattern analysis. A high score strongly suggests AI generation, but no automated system is infallible. Always use human judgement alongside the result, especially when the score is between 40 % and 70 %. Starter accounts see the AI/Human verdict only — paid plans unlock the full probability score, detected engine and component breakdown.

What Is the Most Accurate AI Music Detector?
The Ghost Production AI Music Detector is a browser-based tool that analyses the acoustic and structural properties of a music track to determine whether it was composed and produced by a human or generated entirely by an artificial intelligence system. Unlike metadata checks, AI detection examines the actual audio signal — its spectral fingerprint, tonal coherence, harmonic patterns, and generation artefacts unique to AI synthesis engines.
This tool is powered by ACRCloud's AI Music Detection API, one of the most widely adopted audio recognition systems in the industry, used by streaming platforms, digital distributors, and collecting societies worldwide.
How Does AI Music Detection Work?
The detection process works in three stages:
- Audio fingerprinting — a compact acoustic signature is extracted from your uploaded track, capturing spectral, rhythmic and harmonic characteristics.
- AI artefact analysis — the fingerprint is compared against known generation patterns from major AI music tools. Platforms like Suno, Udio, ElevenLabs Music, Seed Music, MiniMax, Mureka, and Riffusion each leave distinct acoustic signatures in their output.
- Component breakdown — the system reports separate probability scores for the full mix, the vocal stem, and the instrumental/accompaniment stem, giving a granular view of which parts of the track appear AI-generated.
The result is an overall AI probability score from 0 % to 100 %, where a high score indicates strong evidence of AI generation and a low score indicates the track is likely human-made.
Understanding the AI Probability Score
A score of 80 % or above is a strong indicator of AI generation. Scores between 40 % and 79 % should be treated with caution — the track may contain AI-generated elements mixed with human production. Scores below 40 % indicate the track is most likely human-made, though the detector may not yet have patterns for every AI tool on the market.
Why Does AI Music Detection Matter?
The rise of AI music generation tools has created significant challenges for the music industry. Streaming platforms, record labels (IFPI), digital distributors, and performing rights organisations like ASCAP increasingly require transparency about whether submitted music is human-made or AI-generated:
- Royalty eligibility — most collecting societies and PROs currently do not pay royalties for purely AI-generated compositions. Mislabelling AI music as human-made is considered fraud.
- Distribution platform compliance — services like DistroKid, TuneCore, and CD Baby now require disclosure of AI-generated content. Submissions that hide AI authorship risk account termination.
- Ghost production integrity — buyers of exclusive ghost-produced tracks have a legitimate interest in knowing their purchase is an original human composition, not an AI output dressed up with minor edits.
- A&R vetting — record labels can pre-screen demo submissions to identify AI-generated tracks before committing time and budget to artist development.
Who Should Use This Tool?
- Music distributors & labels — screen submissions before release to avoid policy violations on Spotify, Apple Music, and Beatport.
- Ghost producers & sellers — verify that tracks purchased as original human productions genuinely are. Our custom music production services are 100 % human-made and fully exclusive.
- DJs & artists — confirm the tracks you're playing or releasing under your name are human-crafted, protecting your reputation.
- Sync & licensing agencies — verify originality before pitching tracks to TV, film, and advertising clients who require human authorship.
- Performing rights organisations — add an automated pre-screening step to reduce fraudulent royalty claims from AI-generated content.
- Music producers — check that your own tracks are not being falsely flagged as AI on distribution platforms, and use the component breakdown to identify if a collaborator's stems may have been AI-generated.
Free vs. Pro Plans
The free tier (3 daily scans as a guest, 30 monthly scans with a free Starter account) returns the core AI / Human verdict — the same model used by streaming platforms and distributors. It's deliberately useful for casual checks: A&R triage, single-track verification, or "is this demo AI?" sanity checks. Free uploads are limited to MP3 and WAV files up to 50 MB.
Paid plans unlock the rest of the ACRCloud output: the full AI probability score (0–100 %), the detected AI engine (Suno, Udio, ElevenLabs, MiniMax and others), the per-stem component breakdown (separate scores for vocals and instrumental), the release-risk level, plus downloadable PDF reports and email delivery — the things distributors and rights organisations want to see as documentation. Paid plans also support a wider format set (FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG and AIFF in addition to MP3 and WAV) and significantly larger uploads: 150 MB on Producer, 300 MB on Label and 500 MB on Studio — enough for full-quality 24-bit WAV masters and long-form audio. Higher tiers also add bulk upload, CSV export, REST API access, white-label reports and team seats for label and studio workflows.
Pricing starts at €14.99/mo (Producer, 150 scans/month) with a 7-day free trial. Label (€49.99/mo, 500 scans, bulk + CSV) and Studio (€149/mo, 1,500 scans, API + white-label) bill immediately — no trial on high-volume plans. If you only need a short burst of high-quality checks, scan packs are available without a subscription from €4.99 for 50 credits. See the full breakdown on the AI Music Detector pricing page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Guests get 3 free scans per day without an account. With a free Starter account you get 30 scans per month — no card required. Paid plans unlock the full probability score, detected AI engine, component breakdown, PDF & email reports, and higher limits. See plans & pricing.
The free tier returns a simple "AI vs Human" verdict — enough for quick checks. Paid plans add: the full AI probability score (0–100 %), the detected AI engine (Suno, Udio, ElevenLabs, MiniMax, etc.), per-stem component breakdown (vocals / instrumental), release-risk level, downloadable PDF reports, email delivery, scan history (up to 2,000 scans), bulk upload, CSV export, and on the Studio plan, REST API access and white-label reports.
The detector is trained to recognise output from major AI music platforms including Suno, Udio, ElevenLabs Music, Seed Music (ByteDance), MiniMax, Mureka, and Riffusion. ACRCloud continuously updates its models as new AI generators emerge, so coverage improves over time.
ACRCloud's AI detection model achieves high accuracy for tracks generated by the major supported platforms. However, no system is 100 % infallible — especially for heavily post-processed AI tracks or obscure generators not yet in the training data. Always combine the score with human listening judgement for critical decisions.
The score represents how confident the system is that the track was AI-generated. A score above 80 % strongly indicates AI origin. Between 40 % and 79 % suggests possible AI involvement. Below 40 % typically indicates a human-made track. The component breakdown (full mix, vocals, accompaniment) helps identify which elements appear AI-generated.
Yes. The component analysis breaks down the probability separately for the vocal stem and the instrumental stem. This means you can identify tracks where, for example, the production is human-made but the vocals were generated with an AI singing tool like ElevenLabs.
Free and guest accounts can upload MP3 and WAV files up to 50 MB. Paid plans (Producer, Label, Studio) also accept FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG and AIFF, with file size limits of 150 MB, 300 MB and 500 MB respectively. For best accuracy, upload the highest quality lossless version of the track available.
Yes on Label and Studio — drop a folder for bulk analysis. Producer is single-file per scan.
Audio is sent securely to ACRCloud for fingerprinting and analysis only to produce your result. It is not kept for marketing or resale. Scan history on paid plans stores result metadata (scores, verdicts) on your account — not your audio files.
Absolutely. Running an AI detection check before submitting to a distributor or label is a responsible practice. It helps you identify any AI-generated elements in your productions that may require disclosure under platform policies, reducing the risk of takedowns or account issues.
Producer includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers — you enter your card at checkout but are not charged until the trial ends. Cancel anytime before then and you will not be charged. If you are not eligible for a trial, billing starts when you subscribe. Label and Studio are billed as soon as you subscribe (no trial) because they include bulk upload and much higher scan limits.
The 7-day trial is offered to qualifying new Producer subscriptions at checkout. If you have already used a trial or subscribed to Producer before, you can still subscribe — your card is collected at checkout and billing starts according to the plan you choose. Label and Studio do not include a trial period.
Producer is €14.99/mo (150 scans/month). Label is €49.99/mo (500 scans, bulk + CSV). Studio is €149/mo (1,500 scans, API + white-label). Yearly billing saves about 17%. One-off scan packs start at €4.99 for 50 credits if you need a top-up without changing plan.
Step by step: (1) Log in on The Ghost Production. (2) Open your AI Music Detector account page. (3) Click Manage subscription — you are taken to Stripe's secure billing portal. (4) Choose Update plan (or similar) and pick Producer, Label, or Studio, and monthly or yearly billing. (5) Confirm — Stripe shows any prorated charge or credit before you pay.
Upgrading (e.g. Producer → Label) usually takes effect right away. You are typically charged only the prorated difference for the rest of the current billing period, then the new price on renewal.
Downgrading (e.g. Studio → Producer) also runs through the same portal; your new plan limits apply when Stripe applies the change (often immediately — see the confirmation screen).
If you are already subscribed, use Manage subscription — not the Subscribe buttons on the pricing page, which are for new subscriptions only.
You move to the lower plan's limits and features once the downgrade is active. That usually means:
• Lower monthly scan quota (e.g. Studio 1,500 → Label 500 → Producer 150).
• Features you may lose depending on the target plan: bulk folder upload (Label/Studio only), CSV export (Label/Studio), REST API and white-label PDFs (Studio only), extra team seats (Label/Studio).
• Smaller max file size and fewer audio formats on lower tiers.
Your scan history stays on your account, but new scans follow the new plan rules. Team members on Label/Studio keep access only while the owner's subscription still includes team seats; downgrading below Label removes team-seat features for the whole team.
Unused scans from the old plan do not roll over — the new monthly quota applies for the current billing period. Any scan packs you bought separately still work until they expire.
If you already have an active subscription, checkout is limited to one subscription per customer so you are not charged twice. Use Manage subscription on your account page to upgrade or downgrade instead of starting a new checkout from the pricing cards.
If you upgrade or switch plans while your Producer trial is still running, the trial ends and paid billing for the new plan can start according to Stripe's proration rules.
Open your account page → Manage subscription → cancel in Stripe's portal. You can usually choose cancel at period end (recommended): you keep paid features until the current billing period or trial ends, then you are not charged again. Immediate cancel ends paid access sooner. Scan packs bought separately are not refunded and keep their own expiry date.
When your paid subscription stops (you cancelled, payment ultimately failed, or Stripe ended the sub), your account returns to the free Starter tier: 30 scans per month, AI/Human verdict only (no full probability score, engine name, or component breakdown), and MP3/WAV up to 50 MB.
You do not lose your login or scan history, but premium actions (PDF reports, bulk upload, API, team seats, etc.) are no longer available until you subscribe again. You can resubscribe anytime from the pricing page or Manage subscription if you still have billing details on file.
No. Your plan quota resets each billing period and does not roll over. Scan packs (one-off top-ups from the pricing page) stack on top of your plan and expire after 30 or 90 days depending on the pack.
Scan packs are one-time credit bundles (from €4.99 for 50 scans) for when you need extra checks without changing your subscription. Credits are used before your monthly plan quota and expire after the validity window shown at purchase.
Label and Studio plans include team seats. The owner invites teammates by email from the account page. Each invitee must register on the site with that exact email, then accept the invite link. Members share the owner's monthly scan quota and premium features; billing stays on the owner's account.
If a renewal charge fails, Stripe retries your card automatically over several days. Your account may show as past due — you usually keep paid access for a grace period (about three weeks) while retries run.
What you should do: Open your account page → Manage subscription → update your payment method or pay the open invoice.
If payment never succeeds, the subscription is cancelled and you drop to the free Starter tier (30 scans/month, basic verdict only). You will not be charged again until you subscribe with a valid card. Scan pack credits you already bought remain until their expiry date.
Free / Guest accounts: MP3 and WAV up to 50 MB. Paid plans add FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG and AIFF with larger limits — Producer up to 150 MB, Label up to 300 MB, Studio up to 500 MB. Lossless uploads often give the most accurate results.
Yes on Label and Studio — drop a folder for bulk analysis. Producer is single-file per scan.
