Overview

Once you purchase a track on The Ghost Production, you receive exclusive full rights, allowing you to release it under your own artist name on any platform — including Spotify, Beatport, Apple Music, and more.
This guide explains how to release your track professionally, what to include in your metadata, and which distributors are commonly used by DJs and producers.

1. Confirm Your Ownership Documents

Before uploading your track for release, make sure you have:

  • The Rights Transfer Agreement confirming your ownership.
  • The Invoice, which serves as purchase proof.

You can find both under My Account → Orders → Select Order.
These documents prove that you are the legal owner of the track and have full rights to distribute it commercially.

2. Choose a Music Distributor

To release your track on major platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, or Beatport, you’ll need a digital distributor.
Some popular and trusted options include:

You only need one distributor — they handle delivery to all major platforms.

3. Prepare Your Audio Files

Use the mastered version of your track provided in your download package.
Ensure the file meets typical platform requirements:

  • WAV format (44.1 kHz / 16-bit or 24-bit)
  • -14 LUFS integrated loudness (recommended for streaming)
  • No clipping or distortion
  • Clear metadata (artist name, title, genre, year)

The unmastered version is intended only for labels or engineers who plan to master it separately.

4. Metadata and Credits

When uploading through your distributor, you can freely set:

  • Artist Name: Your DJ or stage name
  • Track Title: You may rename the track before release
  • Genre/Subgenre: Choose the most accurate match
  • Release Date: Schedule for immediate or future release

You are not required to credit the original producer, as the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) ensures complete confidentiality.

5. Releasing on Beatport

If you plan to release through Beatport, it must go through an approved label account or distributor with Beatport access.
Many distributors (like Label Engine or Symphonic) include Beatport delivery in their release options.
You cannot upload directly to Beatport without a verified label account.

6. Cover Artwork

If your track includes artwork in the package, you can use it for release.
Otherwise, you may design your own cover image.
Recommended artwork specifications:

  • 3000 × 3000 px
  • JPG or PNG format
  • No logos or watermarks of The Ghost Production or any other producer

7. Royalties and Ownership

After release, you keep 100% of royalties from all platforms.
The Ghost Production and the original producer hold no claim to future earnings.
You may also register the track with your PRO (Performance Rights Organization) if applicable, listing yourself as both composer and publisher.

Notes

  • Always double-check metadata and spelling before release.
  • You can re-upload or edit your track details at any time through your distributor.
  • Keep your Rights Transfer Agreement and Invoice safely stored for future reference.
