Overview
Every Custom Service on The Ghost Production includes a specific number of free revisions, defined by the producer.
Revisions allow you to request changes to your demo before approving the final version.
Once your free revisions are used, you can still request extra paid revisions to continue improving your track.
1. What Is a Revision?
A revision is any update or change you request after receiving a demo from your producer.
It can include adjustments to sound design, arrangement, mix, vocals, or other creative details.
Examples of common revision requests:
- Changing kick or snare samples.
- Adjusting the drop energy or buildup length.
- Modifying vocal effects or reverb levels.
- Tweaking transitions or automation for better flow.
Revisions are meant for improving the existing project — not completely recreating it from scratch.
2. How Many Free Revisions You Get
Each producer sets their own free revision limit when listing their custom service.
This number is displayed on the service page before ordering (for example: “Includes 2 free revisions”).
Free revisions can be used one at a time through the “Request Revision” button on your order page.
Once you’ve used all free revisions, you’ll be notified that additional revisions are paid.
3. Requesting a Revision
To request a revision:
- Log in to your account at theghostproduction.com.
- Go to My Account → Services Orders → Select Order.
- Click the “Request Revision” button under your demo.
- Fill out the Revision Form clearly describing what you want changed.
After submitting, the producer will begin working on your update, and the order status changes to Revisions Requested.
4. Revision Quality Guidelines
When requesting changes:
- Keep your feedback specific and clear (e.g., “reduce sidechain on vocals by 20 %,” “make drop bass louder”).
- Stay within your original creative brief — revisions should refine, not replace, the concept.
- Always submit revisions using the form, not the chat, to keep everything properly tracked.
This helps producers deliver faster, more accurate results.
5. Extra Paid Revisions
Once your included free revisions are used, you can continue refining your project by ordering extra paid revisions.
To request one:
- Click “Request Revision” again on your order page.
- You’ll see a notification that your free revisions are exhausted.
- Confirm to proceed with a paid revision — the cost is displayed before submission.
The price and turnaround time for paid revisions are defined by the producer.
You can order as many as needed until you’re satisfied with the final version.
6. When Revisions Are Not Allowed
Revisions cannot be requested once:
- The order is marked as Delivered or Completed.
- You’ve already clicked “Approve” and made the final payment.
- The requested change would require starting a completely new track.
In these cases, the project is considered finished, and further work must be ordered as a new custom service.
7. Revision Turnaround Time
Each revision extends the delivery time slightly.
Producers typically complete revisions within 1–3 days, depending on the scale of changes.
Complex projects or full-mix adjustments may take longer.
You can always track the updated timeline inside your Services Orders page.
8. If You Have a Disagreement About Revisions
If you believe your revision request wasn’t followed correctly, or the producer stopped responding:
👉 Visit https://theghostproduction.com/ticket
Select Custom Services → Revision Issue and include your order number.
Our support team will review the order details and step in if needed.
