Custom Services: Order Status and Delivery Time Explained

Overview

When you order a custom service on The Ghost Production — whether it’s a full track, remix, mixing, or mastering — your order progresses through several stages.
Each stage is visible inside your Order Dashboard, allowing you to track production, communication, and delivery in real time.

This guide explains what each order status means, how delivery times are calculated, and what to expect at every step of the process.

1. Order Status Stages

StatusDescription
Pending DepositYour order was created but payment for the deposit (30 %) has not been completed yet. Once you submit payment, the producer is notified and begins work.
In ProgressThe producer is actively working on your project based on your brief. You can view updates and chat with them directly inside your dashboard.
Demo ReadyThe producer has uploaded a demo version of your project for review. You can approve it or request revisions using the built-in chat system.
Revisions RequestedYou’ve requested changes to the demo. The producer will apply adjustments and upload a revised version for your approval.
Awaiting Final PaymentYou’ve approved the demo and the order is ready for completion. To receive the final files, you must pay the remaining 70 % balance.
DeliveredThe producer has uploaded the final ZIP package containing all deliverables. This includes mastered and unmastered versions, stems, MIDI, and project files (if applicable).
CompletedThe order is finalized and closed. You can download your files anytime and leave a review for the producer.
CancelledThe order was cancelled before completion. The 30 % deposit remains non-refundable if any work has started.

Each update is reflected instantly on your dashboard and triggers an email notification.

2. Delivery Time Explained

Each producer defines their own delivery timeframe based on the selected service type and workload.
Typical delivery times are:

  • Original Track: 2–14 days
  • Remix / Co-Production: 2–14 days
  • Mixing: 1–7 days
  • Mastering: 1–3 days
  • MIDI Creation: 1–5 days

Delivery time starts counting after the 30 % deposit has been successfully paid and the order is marked In Progress.

Revisions may extend delivery slightly, depending on complexity and mutual agreement.

3. How to Track Your Order

You can monitor your project anytime:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to Orders → Custom Services.
  3. Click your active order to view its progress, messages, and uploaded files.

The Order Manager displays your current status, communication history, attached demos, and payment milestones.

4. Revisions and Communication

Revisions are an essential part of the custom process.
To keep the workflow organized and secure:

  • All messages and file uploads must stay within the platform’s order chat.
  • Producers respond during business hours or within 24 hours of receiving feedback.
  • Revisions are limited to the amount stated in the producer’s service listing.

Once the final delivery is approved, the order will be closed automatically.

5. Late or Delayed Orders

If a producer fails to deliver by the agreed timeframe:

  1. Contact them directly in your order chat to request an update.
  2. If no response or delivery occurs, open a Support Ticket.
  3. The platform will investigate the case and ensure either delivery or refund eligibility according to the Terms of Use.

6. Delivery and Final Files

After final payment, you’ll receive:

  • Mastered and unmastered versions (WAV + MP3)
  • Stems and MIDI (if included)
  • Project file (if applicable)
  • Final mix or master (for mixing/mastering orders)

You’ll also receive:

  • Invoice

These are sent via email and available anytime under My Account → Orders → Select Order.

7. Notes

  • Delivery time only begins once the deposit is paid.
  • The 30 % deposit is non-refundable once work begins.
  • All files and messages must remain within the platform for compliance and security.
  • The Ghost Production monitors all transactions to ensure transparency and protection for both parties.
