How AI mastering works
Three steps from raw mix to release-ready master.
-
1
Upload your mix
Drop in a WAV or MP3 of your final mixdown. For the best result, leave a little headroom (around -6 dB) on your master bus before exporting.
-
2
AI analyses & processes
The engine reads your track's tonal balance and dynamics, then applies EQ, multiband compression, stereo shaping and true-peak limiting tuned to your song.
-
3
Compare & download
A/B the original against the master, then download a loud, polished WAV ready for Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and distributors.
How to prepare your mix
Four quick checks before you upload — they make the difference between a clean master and a distorted one.
Leave headroom
Export with your master-bus peaks around −6 dB. That gap gives the AI room to shape your track without distorting.
Remove the master limiter
Bypass any limiter, maximizer or clipper on your master bus. Send the AI your unsquashed mix — it does the loudness stage for you.
Fix clipping in the mix
If your mix already clips (flat-topped peaks), mastering can’t undo it. Pull faders down until the meters stay out of the red.
Export high quality
Bounce a 24-bit WAV at 44.1 or 48 kHz for the most detail. MP3 works too for quick checks, but lossless gives the best master.
What the mastering engine does
A full mastering chain, applied intelligently to your track.
Tonal balance
Smooths harsh resonances and fills in weak frequency areas so your mix sounds full and even on any system.
Dynamics & glue
Multiband compression tightens the low end and glues your elements together for a cohesive, punchy sound.
Stereo width
Enhances width and depth while keeping your low end mono-safe for club systems and vinyl.
Loudness & true-peak
Brings your track to competitive streaming loudness with true-peak limiting so it never clips or distorts.

Free online AI mastering for independent artists
Mastering is the final stage of music production — the polish that takes a good mix and makes it sound loud, balanced and professional everywhere it's played. Traditionally that meant booking a mastering engineer or learning a stack of plugins. AI online mastering changes that: upload your mix, and a trained model handles EQ, compression, stereo enhancement and loudness in minutes, for free.
This tool is built for producers, beatmakers, singer-songwriters and content creators who need a release-ready master without the cost or wait. Whether you're prepping a single for Spotify, a beat for your store, a demo for a label, or audio for a video, you'll get a master that holds up next to commercial references — with true-peak limiting that keeps it clean on every platform.
AI mastering vs. a mastering engineer
A great human mastering engineer makes nuanced, track-specific decisions and brings years of taste to the table. AI mastering won't replace that for high-stakes releases — but for the vast majority of independent music, it gets you 90% of the way there instantly. Use it to master your catalogue affordably, to create quick reference masters while you mix, or to hear how loud and balanced your track could sound before committing budget.
Master a song for Spotify, Apple Music & YouTube
Every streaming platform normalises loudness to its own target — around −14 LUFS on Spotify and YouTube, and −16 LUFS on Apple Music. Our online mastering applies streaming-ready loudness with true-peak limiting so your track translates cleanly across Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud, Tidal and Amazon Music without distortion or unwanted volume drops. Whether you need to master a song for release, a beat for your store, or audio for a video, the result is consistent everywhere.
Tips for the best master
- Mix first. Mastering enhances a good mix — it can't fix a muddy or clipping one. Balance your levels before uploading.
- Leave headroom. Export with your master bus peaking around -6 dB and no limiter on the master, so the AI has room to work.
- Upload high quality. A 24-bit WAV gives the engine the most detail; MP3 also works for quick checks.
- A/B honestly. Compare the master to the original at matched volume — louder almost always sounds better at first.

AI mastering FAQ
Yes — every account includes free AI masters each month, with no software to install. Just upload your mix, master it and download an MP3 in your browser. Paid plans add higher monthly limits, lossless WAV downloads (24-bit & 16-bit) and a commercial-use license.
The AI analyses your mix and applies tonal balancing (EQ), dynamic compression, stereo enhancement and loudness normalisation with true-peak limiting. The goal is a louder, cleaner, more consistent master that translates well across speakers, earbuds and streaming platforms.
The engine targets streaming-friendly loudness (around -14 LUFS integrated) with true-peak limiting to avoid clipping, so your track sits comfortably next to commercial releases on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.
MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG and AIFF. The free plan supports MP3 and WAV up to 60 MB; paid plans unlock every format and larger files (up to 150–400 MB). For best results upload the highest-quality bounce of your mix — a 24-bit WAV is ideal.
Each plan includes a monthly pool of processing minutes that's shared with Lyrics Transcription. A job is billed by its track length, rounded up to the nearest minute, so a 3-minute song uses 3 minutes. If you run low you can add one-time top-up packs, or upgrade for a bigger monthly allowance — top-up minutes are used only after your plan minutes are gone.
AI mastering is fast and excellent for demos, releases on a budget, content and reference checks. A human mastering engineer still offers nuanced, track-specific decisions — but for most independent artists, AI mastering gets you 90% of the way in minutes.
Yes. Once processing finishes you get an in-browser A/B player — click either waveform to switch tracks and compare from the exact same spot. Free accounts download an MP3 (320 kbps); paid plans also unlock lossless hi-res 24-bit WAV and 16-bit WAV downloads.
Yes. Your uploaded file is used only for processing and automatically deleted after your master is generated — we never share or publish your audio. Your finished master is saved to your own private history so you can download it again anytime, and you can delete it whenever you like.
