What Happens When Your Track Is Sold

Overview

When a buyer purchases your track on The Ghost Production, the sale is exclusive, meaning the buyer receives full ownership of the track.

After the purchase is completed, the track is automatically removed from the marketplace and becomes unavailable for other buyers.

This ensures that every track sold on the platform remains unique and exclusive.

Automatic Track Removal

Once a track is purchased:

• The track is immediately removed from the marketplace
• Other users can no longer preview or purchase the track
• The track will remain accessible only to the buyer through their account

This process happens automatically after the order is completed.

Rights Transfer to the Buyer

After a sale, the buyer receives full rights to the track.

These rights include the ability to:

• Release the track under their artist name
• Distribute the track on streaming platforms
• Use the track commercially
• Modify or remix the track

The buyer also receives the Rights Transfer and NDA agreement together with their purchase confirmation.

Files Delivered to the Buyer

When a track is purchased, the system automatically delivers the full package to the buyer.

The buyer receives:

• The ZIP file containing all track files
• Invoice
• Rights Transfer and NDA agreement

These documents are sent through the order confirmation email and can also be accessed in the buyer’s account.

Producer Responsibilities After a Sale

After a track is sold, producers must follow several important rules.

Do Not Resell the Track

The track cannot be sold again on:

• The Ghost Production
• Other ghost production marketplaces
• Personal websites
• Direct sales to other buyers

Each track can only be sold once.

Do Not Reuse the Track

Producers must not reuse parts of the sold track in other releases.

Examples include:

• Using the same melody
• Reusing the same arrangement
• Reusing major project elements

The buyer now owns the full production.

Remove Public Previews

If you uploaded the track elsewhere before selling it, you should remove public previews.

Examples include:

• SoundCloud
• YouTube
• Social media previews

This ensures the buyer receives a fully exclusive track.

Earnings From the Sale

When a track is sold, the earnings are automatically added to your seller balance.

Your profit percentage depends on your seller level.

Current producer profit levels:

Bronze — 70%
Silver — 72%
Gold — 75%
Platinum — 78%
Diamond — 80%

Your level increases automatically as your total sales grow.

Reviews and Reputation

After a purchase, buyers may leave reviews based on their experience.

Providing high-quality tracks and complete production packages increases the chances of:

• Positive reviews
• Repeat buyers
• Higher sales

Good reviews also help strengthen your reputation on the platform.
