Every track submitted to The Ghost Production goes through a manual review process before it becomes available on the marketplace.
This review ensures that all tracks meet the platform’s quality standards and contain the required files.
Track review typically takes up to 5 business days.
During this time, our team checks the track’s quality, structure, and compliance with platform rules.
Track Review Statuses
After submitting a track, you may see different statuses in your seller dashboard.
Pending Review
This means your track has been successfully submitted and is waiting in the review queue.
The review process can take up to 5 business days, depending on the number of submissions.
Approved
If the track meets all requirements, it will be approved and published on the marketplace.
Once approved:
• Buyers can listen to the preview
• Buyers can purchase the track
• The track becomes publicly visible on the platform
Rejected
If the track does not meet the platform requirements, it will be rejected.
When a track is rejected, the review team will provide the reason for rejection so you can fix the issue and submit the track again.
Rejected tracks can be corrected and resubmitted.
What the Review Team Checks
During the review process, several elements are evaluated.
Production Quality
Tracks must meet professional production standards.
The review team checks:
• Mix balance
• Mastering quality
• Sound clarity
• Arrangement structure
Tracks with low production quality may be rejected.
File Package Completeness
Your ZIP package must include all required files.
Missing files are one of the most common reasons for rejection.
Required files include:
• Mastered version
• Unmastered version
• Instrumental version (if vocals are present)
• Stems
• MIDI files
Track Information Accuracy
All information provided during submission must be accurate.
This includes:
• DAW used
• Plugins used
• Vocal type
• Sample sources
Providing incorrect information may lead to refunds or track removal.
Licensing and Sample Compliance
All tracks must use licensed royalty-free samples.
Prohibited content includes:
• Samples taken from copyrighted songs
• Unlicensed vocals
• Samples ripped from YouTube or other recordings
Using copyrighted material will result in rejection.
AI-Generated Music
AI-generated instrumental tracks are not allowed on the platform.
AI vocals may be allowed if they are properly declared and legally generated.
Common Reasons Tracks Are Rejected
Here are the most common reasons tracks fail the review process.
Missing Files
The ZIP package does not contain all required files.
Common examples:
• Missing stems
• Missing MIDI files
• Missing unmastered version
• Missing instrumental version for vocal tracks
Track Too Short
Tracks that are too short may be rejected.
In most cases tracks should be at least around 2 minutes long.
Low Quality Cover Image
Cover images must meet quality standards.
Issues include:
• Blurry images
• Low resolution
• Unreadable text
Minimum recommended size is 500 × 500 px.
Incorrect Metadata
Providing incorrect track information can cause problems for buyers.
Examples include:
• Wrong BPM
• Incorrect DAW information
• Missing plugin information
Poor Audio Quality
Tracks with noticeable audio problems may be rejected.
Examples include:
• Clipping
• Distortion
• Poor mixing balance
• Unfinished arrangement
