Overview
All tracks uploaded to The Ghost Production marketplace go through a manual review process before they are approved for sale.
This review ensures that tracks meet the platform’s quality standards and that buyers receive professional, release-ready music.
Track reviews can take up to 5 business days.
If your track does not meet the required standards, it may be rejected and you will receive feedback explaining the reason.
Low Production Quality
One of the most common rejection reasons is insufficient production quality.
Tracks submitted to the marketplace should meet professional production standards including:
• Clean mixing
• Balanced levels
• Proper mastering
• Strong arrangement
Tracks that sound unfinished or poorly mixed may be rejected.
Missing Files in the Package
Every track must include a complete production package.
If required files are missing, the track may be rejected.
A correct package should include:
• Mastered WAV
• Mastered MP3
• Unmastered WAV
• Unmastered MP3
• Instrumental versions when applicable
• Stems (if provided)
• MIDI files (if provided)
• Project file (if included)
Missing versions are one of the most common submission mistakes.
Incomplete Track Information
Tracks must include accurate information during submission.
Missing or incorrect information may result in rejection.
Examples include:
• Missing DAW information
• Missing plugin information when a project file is included
• Incorrect vocal information
• Incomplete tags or genre selection
Providing accurate information helps buyers understand what they are purchasing.
AI Generated Music
AI-generated music is not allowed on The Ghost Production platform.
Submitting AI-generated tracks violates the platform rules.
If a track is identified as AI-generated it will be rejected and repeated violations may lead to account penalties.
Copyright or Licensing Issues
Tracks must only contain elements that you are legally allowed to use.
You may use:
• Royalty-free samples
• Royalty-free vocals
• Your own recordings
You may not upload copyrighted material that you do not have the rights to distribute.
Incorrect Vocal Information
If your track contains vocals, you must specify the correct vocal type.
For example:
• Royalty-free sample pack vocals
• Exclusive vocals recorded specifically for the track
• AI-generated vocals (when allowed under platform policy)
Incorrect or misleading vocal information may result in rejection.
Poor Arrangement or Structure
Tracks should have a clear structure and arrangement.
Examples of issues that may cause rejection include:
• Tracks that are too short
• Tracks with incomplete sections
• Tracks without a proper drop or progression
A well-structured track improves buyer confidence and increases the chances of a sale.
Duplicate or Previously Sold Tracks
Tracks submitted to The Ghost Production must be exclusive.
You may not upload:
• Tracks already sold elsewhere
• Tracks previously released commercially
• Tracks available on other marketplaces
All tracks must be sold only once with full rights transfer.
How to Increase Your Approval Chances
To improve the chances of approval:
• Double-check your file package
• Ensure professional mixing and mastering
• Provide accurate track information
• Include extended and radio versions when possible
• Add project files when available
Submitting high-quality tracks with complete information helps speed up the review process.
