Overview
Revisions are an important part of the Custom Services workflow. They allow buyers to request changes to a demo before the final track is delivered.
Each service includes a number of free revisions defined by the producer when creating the service.
After the free revision limit is reached, buyers can still request additional revisions as paid revisions.
Understanding how revisions work helps ensure a smooth collaboration between producers and buyers.
How Buyers Request Revisions
If the buyer wants changes after reviewing a demo, they will submit a revision request.
Revision requests are made through the revision request form, not through the order chat.
The revision request form allows the buyer to clearly describe:
• What needs to be changed
• Specific elements of the track to modify
• Additional feedback about the demo
Using the revision form helps keep the feedback structured and clear.
Revision Delivery Time
When a buyer submits a revision request, the order will return to the revision stage.
Once the revision is requested, the producer will receive a new delivery countdown, based on the demo delivery time set in the service settings.
This gives the producer additional time to implement the requested changes and upload the updated demo.
Free Revisions
Each custom service includes a specific number of free revisions set by the producer when creating the service.
This information is displayed on the service page before the buyer places the order.
Free revisions typically include reasonable changes such as:
• Adjusting melodies
• Changing sounds
• Modifying arrangement sections
• Small mixing adjustments
Producers should review the feedback and upload an updated demo after implementing the requested changes.
Paid Revisions
Once the free revision limit has been reached, buyers can request extra revisions as paid revisions.
Paid revisions are useful when buyers want additional changes beyond the included revision limit.
Examples include:
• Major changes to the track structure
• Large arrangement changes
• Significant sound design changes
The price of extra revisions is defined when the producer creates the service.
If the buyer purchases an extra paid revision, the amount will be automatically added to the final order total, increasing the final value of the order.
When Revisions Should Be Requested
Revisions should be requested during the demo stage, before the final delivery.
After the final delivery is submitted, revision requests may no longer apply unless agreed by both parties.
For this reason, it is important for buyers to carefully review the demo and provide clear feedback before approving it.
Producer Best Practices
To maintain a good reputation and improve buyer satisfaction, producers should:
• Review revision requests carefully
• Communicate clearly with buyers
• Deliver updated demos promptly
• Follow the agreed revision limits
Handling revisions professionally increases the chances of positive reviews and repeat customers.
