Overview
Custom Services allow producers to offer personalized music production services to buyers on The Ghost Production.
Instead of selling ready-to-release tracks, Custom Services allow buyers to request specific work based on their needs.
Examples of services producers can offer include:
• Original track production
• Remixes
• Co-production
• Mixing
• Mastering
• MIDI creation
These services allow producers to generate additional income by working directly with buyers on custom projects.
Where to Create a Service
To create a new custom service, go to your seller dashboard.
Navigate to:
Seller Dashboard → Services
From there you can create, edit, or manage your services.
Service Types
When creating a service, you will need to select the type of service you want to offer.
Available service types include:
Original Track
Complete custom tracks created from scratch.
Remix
A new version of an existing track.
Co-Production
Collaborating with another producer to improve or complete a track.
Mixing
Professional mixing of a buyer’s project.
Mastering
Final mastering to prepare a track for release.
MIDI Creation
Custom MIDI compositions such as melodies or chord progressions.
Setting Your Price
When creating a service you must set a base price.
This price represents the starting cost of the service.
Additional features or complexity can be offered through optional add-ons.
Examples may include:
• Extra revisions
• Faster delivery
• Additional stems or files
• Extended versions
Setting competitive prices helps attract more buyers.
Delivery Time
Each service must have a defined delivery time.
This determines how long you have to deliver the demo version of the project.
The delivery countdown begins immediately after the buyer places an order.
Choose a delivery time that allows you to complete the project comfortably.
Revision Settings
When creating a service, you must also define the number of free revisions included.
Revisions allow buyers to request changes to the demo before final delivery.
After the free revision limit is reached, buyers may purchase extra revisions if available.
Service Description
Your service description should clearly explain what the buyer will receive.
A good description typically includes:
• What the service includes
• What files will be delivered
• Any limitations or requirements
• Expected delivery format
Clear descriptions help prevent misunderstandings.
Managing Your Services
Once a service is created, you can manage it from the Services section of your dashboard.
You can:
• Edit service details
• Update pricing
• Change delivery times
• Enable or disable services
Keeping your services updated helps attract more buyers.
Best Practices for Successful Services
Producers who perform well with custom services usually follow these practices:
• Provide clear service descriptions
• Set realistic delivery times
• Communicate professionally with buyers
• Deliver high-quality demos
Good service quality increases positive reviews and repeat orders.
