Voldex: The Future of Distortion
Marly Sladek alias Voldex is a German music producer, DJ and musician specialised in Electronic Dance Music since 2013. Voldex has gathered 8+ million streams worldwide and worked with labels such as Trap Nation, Armada Trice, Diversity, and Dutch Master Works.
Multiple online releases followed, including genres like House, Future Bass, Chill, Dubstep, Trap and Hardstyle. In the meantime, Voldex started experimenting with multiple types of distortion and uses it as a stylistic device to form interesting soundscapes. Some of her main influences are Radical Redemption, Atmozfears and Sickmode.
Since then, she specialises in Hardstyle and Trap with focus on distortion and kick drum sound design. E.g., a mixture of Trap and Hardstyle can be heard in her official remix for Jochen Miller and Cuebrick on the Armada Trice Miami 2018 Compilation Album. This track is also supported on the Trap Nation YouTube channel and was played out live at Winterworld Festival 2018.
Additionally, Voldex is known to fuse her main genres with other EDM-related genres, making her music versatile by creating contrast inside her musical pieces. To this date, Voldex has produced more than 200 songs of which 70+ are released, resulting in a lot of experience.
In recent years, Marly additionally produces beats for rappers. She has worked on a record with Canadian rapper Wasiu that got released on Tribal Trap, and she participates in studio sessions in Germany to expand her recording skills.

Voldex aims to keep expressing her emotions and herself as a person through her music. Her main goal is to inspire other upcoming artists to creatively experiment inside their own music. Voldex found her way of utilising distortion to her advantage, creating her own style in the music scene.
