Frequently Asked Questions
To begin selling your music on The Ghost Production, you'll need to follow a few simple steps. Firstly, register and set up an account on our website. Once your account is ready, fill out the Become a Ghost Producer form. Our team will review your application within 1-2 business days. If approved, you'll be required to verify your identity, and then you'll be all set to start selling your music!
To upload your tracks, follow these steps:
1. Go to Seller Dashboard:
- Navigate to the Seller Dashboard on our platform.
2. Access the Tracks Section:
- Click on "Tracks" and then select "Add Track."
3. Fill Out Required Information:
- Provide all necessary details such as the track name, price, genre, tags.
4. Upload Required Files:
Upload the necessary files, including:
- Mastered and unmastered track versions
- Stems
- MIDI files
- Project files (optional)
- Cover audio
- Cover artwork
5. Read and Accept the Agreement:
- Carefully read the agreement and accept the terms.
6. Submit for Review:
- Click on "Send Track for Review" to complete the process.
Your track will be reviewed by our team before it is made available for sale. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact our support team.
Requirements and Rules:
File Uploads:
- STEMS: Upload all individual audio tracks.
- MIDI: Provide the MIDI files for all tracks.
- Mastered and Unmastered Versions: Both versions should be uploaded in WAV (44.1kHz) and MP3 (320kbps) formats.
- Project File (Optional): While optional, including the project file can increase the track's value and chances of selling.
Unmastered Version Specifications:
- Must have at least -3dB of headroom.
- Must be without a limiter or compression.
Folder Organization:
- Separate folders for STEMS, MIDI, Mastered, and Unmastered versions.
- Compress all folders into a ZIP file.
Stem Tracks:
- Each stem track must be correctly named (e.g., Kick, Snare, Bass).
- Stems should be as separate as possible (e.g., all lead layers must be in separate stems, not grouped into one).
Vocal Tracks:
- Include an instrumental version if the track has vocals.
- Vocals must be original or sourced from a royalty-free sample pack. AI-generated vocals are permitted as long as they meet the royalty-free requirements and are clearly labeled as such during the upload process.
Originality and Exclusivity:
- Partial Use of Melodic Loops and Samples: You may now use melodic loops and samples, but tracks incorporating these elements will be categorized as "Semi Original Instrumentals." You must provide detailed information about the samples used, including the loop name, sample pack name, and instrument name.
- The track’s idea must still be original, even when using these elements.
- The track must be exclusive to our platform and cannot be submitted to any other website. Violation will result in immediate deletion without warning.
Compliance and Restrictions:
- We reserve the right to reject a track if any of the above rules are not followed.
- Submitting AI-generated music that is entirely created with AI will result in a permanent ban. However, AI-generated vocals are permitted if properly licensed and disclosed.
Guidelines for Using Vocal Samples:
- All vocal samples must come with a royalty-free license.
- Perform thorough checks to confirm the legality of the samples you choose. Avoid using any samples if there is any doubt about their legality.
- Recommended sources for legal royalty-free vocal samples include platforms like Splice.
- When uploading a track, provide a link to the sample’s source to confirm its royalty-free status, along with the sample file name.
If the vocal is original, select the “Exclusive Vocal” option during the upload process.
- If the vocal is generated using AI, please select “AI Vocal” and specify the website or application that was utilized. Ensure that commercial use is allowed.
Please ensure all requirements are met before submission to avoid any issues.
To access your earnings, navigate to your Seller Dashboard and select the Payouts section. Here, you will find a comprehensive overview of your available earnings. Prior to proceeding, ensure to set up your Paypal or Payoneer address
To initiate a withdrawal, simply click on the 'Withdraw' option, input the desired withdrawal amount, and then proceed by clicking 'Make Request'
Payments are typically processed within 1 to 3 business days after the withdrawal request has been submitted.
Depending on your level within our system, you can earn between 70% and 80% of the revenue generated from each sale. Check about levels above.
The initial price range for a track spans from 199€ to 2000€, with considerations based on factors including composition, production quality, Mix and Mastering also additional elements such as the production process or the genre's popularity.
It's important to note that setting the starting price at 199€ means you won't have the option to offer discounts.
You must upload mastered and unmastered track's versions (MP3 & WAV), MIDI, Stems (WAV), Instrumental (If it's a vocal track), Project file (Optional)
To be considered for the "Top Pick", our team evaluates tracks based on various factors including quality, composition, and other relevant criteria. Artists can increase their chances of being featured by consistently delivering high-quality music and paying attention to detail in their compositions.
You may withdraw your track 60 days following its publication.
To remove a track, please follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the Seller Dashboard.
2. Select the "Tracks" section.
3. In the "Actions" column, click on the three dots.
4. Choose "Delete Track" from the dropdown menu.
You can change the price 14 days after posting it.
The price can be adjusted once a week.
Keep in mind, you can only lower the price but not increase it. If you initially set your track's price at the minimum of 199€, you won't have the option to change it.
To change the track's price, please follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the Seller Dashboard.
2. Select the "Tracks" section.
3. In the "Actions" column, click on the three dots.
4. Choose "Adjust Price" from the dropdown menu.
🚫 Prohibited Usage:
- Completely made of Samples & Loops: We strictly prohibit the use of tracks that are entirely made up of pre-made samples and loops.
- Completely generated with AI: Tracks that are entirely generated using AI tools are also prohibited.
✅ Allowed Usage:
- Partial Use of Melodic Loops and Samples: We now allow the partial use of melodic loops and samples. Tracks incorporating these elements will be categorized as "Semi Original Instrumentals." When uploading such a track, you must provide detailed information about the samples used, including the loop name, sample pack name, and instrument name.
Important Notes:
- If you use melodic samples without providing the required information, we reserve the right to delete the track and ban you from our platform.
- For any tracks that have already been purchased, we reserve the right to cancel the order and initiate a refund if the guidelines are not followed.
Vocal Samples:
- Royalty-Free and AI-Generated Vocal Samples: We permit the use of royalty-free and AI-generated vocal samples and acapellas.

To obtain a Verified badge on our platform, follow these steps:
- Verify Your Identity: Go to the Verification page.
- Upload Identification: Upload a valid ID or driving license.
Upon completing this step, you will be awarded the Verified badge. This badge enhances your trustworthiness and credibility with buyers, demonstrating your authenticity as a seller.
